Post Enrollment Requisite Checking

Dates contained within this website may differ based upon session start dates. The official WSU Academic Calendar lists dates and deadlines for the full (15 week) semester/term.  Drop and withdrawal deadlines for less than full semester sessions can be found here:  Deadlines: Drop, Withdrawal, Pass/Fail, and Audit | Office of the Registrar (wsu.edu).

  • The Post Enrollment Requisite Checking function (PERC) will run the Friday evening after grading deadline.
  • Students who have enrolled for the future term (excluding Summer Term) will be removed from any class in which grades from previous term do not meet the prerequisites.
    • NEW! An 'Incomplete' grade is considered 'not satisfied', therefore, the student may be removed from a future course requiring a prerequisite of a satisfactory grade.
  • Once the PERC process runs, seats will become available for students who meet the prerequisite.
  • PERC processing does not re-evaluate a student’s class standing (e.g., sophomore). This means that students who are able to register for a class requiring a certain class standing will NEVER be re-evaluated by PERC.  If a student who has 31 credits registers for a class requiring sophomore standing and then drops a course and now has 28 credits, he or she will NOT be dropped by PERC.
    • Those students will need to be evaluated by the department and dropped if desired.

Co-Requisite Processing

Co-Requisite checking and processing is completed manually by the Pullman Registrar’s Office for all campuses.

  • The process evaluates which classes have unsatisfied co-requisites attached and students will be removed from these classes.
  • After manually processing (in January for Spring and in May for Fall), departments can rerun the PERC query to view a report of students who were dropped from classes for your department due to co-requisite processing.
